This place is excellent. They have a great counter to sit at if you're alone or plenty seating if you have a party. Matzo Ball soup was good, and it was the biggest matzo Ball I've ever seen in my life! Patty melt did the trick and you can have it cooked anyway you'd like. Maricela was my server and she was very sweet, like the coleslaw. I enjoyed my time here!

Amazing food and the atmosphere was trilling. The service was nice always asking if we need more coffee or anything else. I’ll be happy to visit them again.

Popped in for a quick bite before catching my flight home and I wish I would have stopped in here when I first got in town. This place was great in every way. Great service, super friendly crew and I mean everyone. Very clean and to top it off food was quick to the bar I was sitting at. Its the perfect combo with delicious food. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm going to Kappys

They have deals & their portions are large enough for two. They make a killer Bloody Mary, just to your taste. Free parking. And the nearby malls let you work off food & get errands done. The host deserves 5 stars as do the 2 chefs.

We love this place because they have consistent and delicious food, large portions, great services and atmosphere. Once you come here once, you'll definitely add it to your rotation. Very family and child friendly.

A cozy breakfast corner with a welcoming atmosphere. The Eggs Benedict & Omelette were perfectly executed with crispy hash browns. Service was friendly and efficient, and prices were reasonable. A must-visit for a satisfying start to the day!

This past early August marked the very first time trying out the popular long-standing eatery after leaving Old Orchard Mall. Read enough good reviews and was convinced to give it a try. I have a tendency to be exploratory after taking the wife & kids to the mall and typically try to find a place that has an all-around menu and not too fancy since our youngest tends to act up at the table. Kappy's has that old school diner vibe which I really like and the food overall for the price is worth it. We live in Beach Park which is in northeastern Lake County but do come down this way a few times a year so we'd definitely stop back in if in the area, Kappy's is a go. With all around good food (I enjoyed the prime rib), friendly service and a family-friendly environment; this is a local business that I'd gladly support and wish for continued success & prosperity for the owner(s).
